Hip hop fashion has changed over the time thanks to its growing popularity.  Currently, the biggest influence is related to big mediatic musicians rather that street performers as its was on the beginning.  The style of this urban culture is characterized by its particular way of dressing both for girls and boys.  Its clothes are comfortable (usually sportive with basketball and baseball influence).

Some of the most famous clothing brands are: New Era, PellePelle, Vokal, Enyce, Ecko, Joker, among others.  However, big companies like Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Calvin Klein, have had special or permanent collections for hip hop lovers.  Also, some artists have created their own line or have associated with intentional brands for it.  Some examples are: Outkast, Lil Kin, Kimora Lee Simmos, Ciara, Diddy (Sean John), Eminem (Shady Limited), Eve, Nelly, Jay-Z (Rocawear), 50 Cent (G-Unit), Eminem (Shady Limited).
